After completing my undergraduate education in Audiology at Istanbul Aydin University, I completed my master's degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology at Marmara University. I graduated from the Neuroscience PhD program at Koç University, where I was accepted with a full scholarship; during my doctoral education, I worked as a visiting researcher at the University of Arizona in the United States for one year. In my research, I focus on the effects of hearing loss and tinnitus on cognitive functions and emotional processes. I examine the neurobiological basis of changes in the auditory system by integrating electrophysiological, behavioral and molecular methods.
