About

After completing my undergraduate degree in Audiology at Istanbul Aydın University and a master’s in Audiology and Speech Disorders at Marmara University, I graduated from the Neuroscience doctoral program at Koç University in 2024, to which I was admitted on a full scholarship; during my doctoral studies I spent one year as a visiting researcher at the University of Arizona in the United States. I am currently a postdoctoral (postdoc) researcher at the NEAF Lab, Biomedical Research Institute of New Jersey, USA. My research focuses on the effects of hearing loss and tinnitus on cognitive and emotional processes; I investigate the neurobiological basis of changes in the auditory system by integrating electrophysiological, behavioural and molecular methods.
