About AAS 2027

The 54th Annual Scientific & Technology Conference of the American Auditory Society (AAS) takes place on 15–17 April 2027 at the Kimpton Miralina Resort & Villas in Scottsdale, Arizona. The conference is in person only, with no virtual attendance option.

Founded in 1971, AAS aims to “promote the translation of scientific discovery to clinical practice in hearing and balance disorders through multi-disciplinary interaction”. Members receive access to Ear and Hearing, and membership is open worldwide.

The programme features translational research presentations, special sessions, poster sessions and technology updates, with the Carhart Memorial Lecture, the Killion Lecture and a Life Achievement Award.

Abstract Submission

The submission site opens on 1 October 2026; the deadline is 1 January 2027, 11:59 PM ET.

  • Podium and general poster — original basic and clinical research, including exceptional case studies.
  • Mentored Research Posters — for doctoral and post-doctoral students/residents; a mentor letter is required, and 20 posters receive NIH-funded travel support.
  • T35 posters — from the NIH T35 Research Traineeship Program.
  • New Investigator — researchers within five years of their degree; AAS membership required.

Title up to 10 words; abstract up to 500 words with Objectives, Design, Results and Conclusions. A 100-word presenter biography and up to two topic areas are required.
