About the Congress

The 4th Congress of Otology and Neurotology in the Black Sea Region is held in Trabzon on 10–12 June 2027. In the invitation, congress president Prof. Mahmut Tayyar Kalcıoğlu describes Trabzon as "a true emblem of the Black Sea" and anticipates participation from Europe, Asia, the Americas, Africa and the Middle East.

The congress banner states that the meeting is held jointly with the 4th International Symposium of the German-Turkish Otorhinolaryngology Society, under the International Black Sea Otology and Neuro-otology Association.

Abstract Submission

According to the Important Dates page of the official website, abstract submission closes on 28 February 2027 and acceptance notifications are sent on 7 March 2027. Abstracts are presented as oral presentations or printed posters.

Submission Rules

  • Abstracts are written in structured form: Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion for research; Objective, Case description, Treatment, Commentary for case reports.
  • The work must be unpublished and not previously presented nationally.
  • The preferred presentation format is indicated at submission; the final decision rests with the Abstract Committee.
  • Contact details must be current and monitored.

The hotel is situated on the Black Sea coast, approximately 3 km from Trabzon International Airport and 8 km from downtown. Letters of invitation are available upon request for visa purposes, though these do not obligate the organizers to cover expenses.
