The 5th International Symposium on Inner Ear Therapeutics (ISIET 2027) takes place on 14–17 May 2027 in Antwerp, Belgium, hosted by Antwerp University Hospital (UZA). Its theme, as stated on the official page, is “Driving Innovation in Hearing Science: Integrating Genetic, Molecular, and Technological Advances for Transformative Therapies and Clinical Practice”.
The symposium is the fifth in the series organised by the International Society for Inner Ear Therapeutics (ISIET). The society was founded after the first international symposium on inner ear therapeutics in Marrakesh in November 2017. The series met in 2017, 2019, 2023 and 2025; the 2023 and 2025 symposia were also held in Marrakech. The 2025 symposium was organised in collaboration with the Institut de l'Audition of the Institut Pasteur.
In its own words, ISIET is a global, not-for-profit, interdisciplinary organisation for scientists and physicians working in inner ear therapeutics, from translational science to clinical applications.
