About OMAI 2026

The 12th International Symposium on Objective Measures in Auditory Implants (OMAI 2026) is being held on 22–24 August 2026 in Zurich, Switzerland, in the historic main building of the University of Zurich. It is chaired by Prof. Christof Röösli (MD) and Prof. Flurin Pfiffner (PhD).

The symposium offers clinical and scientific experts worldwide the opportunity to share their current research and experience on objective measures in auditory implants. A rich scientific program of keynote lectures, presentations and discussions is planned.

Why Attend?

  • The leading symposium in the field of objective measures in auditory implants.
  • An interdisciplinary program bringing together scientists and clinicians.
  • 7 main topics, from electrophysiology to imaging.
  • Keynote lectures with leading speakers in the field.
  • The historic lakeside city of Zurich.

Main Topics

The OMAI 2026 scientific program focuses on seven main topics:

  • Electrocochleography (ECochG) — cochlear microphonic, action potential, intraoperative monitoring, residual hearing.
  • Bone conduction hearing and devices — vibration transmission analysis, device testing.
  • Active middle ear implants — output verification, coupling efficiency.
  • Passive middle ear prostheses — ossicular chain mobility, middle-ear mechanics.
  • Objective measures in cochlear implants — eCAP, eABR, empedans telemetrisi.
  • Imaging / OCT / photon-counting CT — implant konumu, elektrot-modiolus mesafesi.
  • Cortical function — CAEP, ASSR, MMN, markers of cognitive load.

Abstracts & Awards

All accepted abstracts are published in the program booklet and the interactive online program. At least one author of each abstract must be present at the symposium; authors are not automatically registered and must also register online.
