Vertigo Academy International (VAI) meetings are scientific and educational meetings organised under the auspices of the International Vestibular Society. The seventh meeting of the series takes place on 11–13 March 2027 at the Divani Caravel Hotel & Congress Center in Athens.
In the words of the official site, the series has so far held six meetings in Turkiye, Russia, India, Belarus, Serbia and Hungary. The programme covers vestibular neuritis, BPPV, Ménière's disease, vestibular migraine, vestibular schwannoma, bilateral vestibular disorders, nystagmus analysis, imaging, paediatric vestibular disorders, intratympanic treatments, vestibular rehabilitation and vestibular implants.
The meeting poster also states that the 4th VIRTM (Vestibular Implant Related Technologies) sessions will be held together with VAI 2027; a VIRTM session appears in the scientific programme as well.
Abstract submission closes on 18 December 2026. If you plan to give an oral or poster presentation, do not leave your submission to the last minute.
Only presenters below 40 years of age are eligible for the prize session. If you want your abstract considered for the prize, indicate this at submission; the five finalists are selected by 11 March 2027.
Dates are compiled from the official meeting website; please check the site for the latest information.
The three-day programme runs concurrently in five halls: the main hall Olympia A, the parallel rooms Olympia B and Vergina, and the course halls Mycenae and Pella.
The opening ceremony and welcome addresses take place on the evening of day one, the IVS General Assembly on day two, and closing remarks on day three at 17:45.
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are submitted until 18 December 2026. Abstracts scheduled for oral presentation are announced on 15 January 2027; the rest are displayed as posters.
The prize session winner receives 1,000 EUR and an IVS Prize Certificate; a certificate is delivered to all finalist presentations. Five finalists are selected from prize submissions by 11 March 2027. Eligibility requires presenters to be below 40 years old.
