Description

A measurement tool designed to assess children's listening difficulties in everyday situations such as noisy or crowded environments, distant sound sources and degraded auditory stimuli.

Measured Properties

Listening difficulties in daily life, listening in noisy/crowded environments, understanding distant sound sources, and problems that devices such as television/telephone create for communication.

Target Population

Children aged 3–12 and their families. The inventory has two versions: C.H.I.L.D-FM (for ages 3–12), completed by families, and C.H.I.L.D-C (for ages 8–12), completed by children themselves.
