Description

The Youth Attitude to Noise Scale (YANS-Tr) is an international scale developed to measure adolescents' attitudes toward noise. This 19-item Turkish-adapted scale aims to assess what young people think and how they behave in noisy situations, as well as their awareness of environmental sound levels. With its four-factor structure, it is particularly used to investigate awareness of hearing health and protective behaviors.

Measured Properties

Youth-culture-related attitudes toward noise, ability to concentrate in noisy environments, awareness of everyday noise, attitudes affecting the sound environment

Target Population

High school students / adolescents aged 14–18
