Description

This scale was developed to assess the real-world verbal communication performance (receptive and expressive language) of children aged 2–6 who use a cochlear implant. It is a 23-item scale completed by a parent or caregiver and uses 5-point Likert-type scoring (Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Often, Always).

Measured Properties

The child's verbal communication performance and communicative functioning across various everyday settings, quiet or noisy.

Target Population

Children aged 2–6 who use a cochlear implant, and their families.
