Description

This scale was developed to assess the impact of dizziness and/or balance problems on an individual's ability to carry out daily activities and fulfill community-participation tasks. It is based on the World Health Organization's International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework. It comprises 34 items in total; each item is scored according to ICF qualifiers (item scores are averaged, excluding "not applicable" responses), and a higher score indicates greater difficulty.

Measured Properties

The impact of vestibular disorders (dizziness, imbalance) on an individual's activities of daily living and social participation; ICF-based activity and participation limitations.

Target Population

Adults with a vestibular disorder (dizziness / balance problem).
