This questionnaire was developed as a screening tool for the diagnosis of vestibular migraine in patients with recurrent vestibular complaints (dizziness). It consists of 8 short and simple questions answered as "Yes/No" and can be self-completed by the patient. It is designed for rapid screening in primary care, dizziness and migraine clinics. Agreement between questionnaire-based and clinical diagnosis is high (agreement 83.3%; kappa = 0.666); sensitivity is 82.8%, specificity 83.9%, and test-retest reliability is good to excellent (kappa 0.71–0.87).
Symptoms suggestive of vestibular migraine; the association of dizziness attacks with migraine headache, light/sound sensitivity, aura, and accompanying auditory complaints (hearing loss, tinnitus, ear pressure).
Adult patients with recurrent vestibular complaints (dizziness).
