Description

The Vertigo Symptom Scale (VSS – Short Form) is a 15-item scale that assesses the frequency of vertigo symptoms, autonomic symptoms and somatization; items are scored from 0 (never) to 4 (very often). The Vertigo Dizziness Imbalance (VDI) questionnaire, meanwhile, comprises two subdimensions: the Symptom Scale (VDI-SS, 14 items) and the Quality of Life Scale (VDI-HQoL, 22 items). Items are scored from 0 (always) to 5 (never).

Measured Properties

The frequency and severity of vertigo and imbalance symptoms, autonomic nervous system symptoms, anxiety, and the impact of these conditions on the patient's quality of life (physical, functional and emotional).

Target Population

Individuals diagnosed with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) and patients who will receive vestibular rehabilitation.
