Description

The Speech, Spatial and Qualities of Hearing (SSQ) Scale is a scale that aims to have individuals subjectively assess their real-world hearing performance in daily life. The 49-item Turkish-adapted version holistically measures the hearing experience across three subdimensions: speech perception, spatial perception and hearing quality. It is widely used in clinical assessment, auditory rehabilitation and monitoring device performance.

Measured Properties

Subjective assessment of auditory experiences such as an individual's ability to distinguish speech, perceive the direction and distance of sounds, and their perception of auditory clarity and naturalness

Target Population

Adults
